Out-of-Hospital Birth Class with Rooted Birth
Are you planning an out-of-hospital birth? Will you be welcoming your baby at a birth center or in your home? Then this class is for you! There’s a lot about birth that is very much the same, but there’s also a lot about birth that can be very different! A typical hospital birthing class might not be the best fit for your needs. Some of the topics we will cover in this class are:
phases and stages of labor
comfort techniques
positions for labor and birth
tips for preparing your birth space
transfer protocols and preparing a Plan B
immediate postpartum & newborn procedures
The fee for this class is $200 and includes admission for you and a partner.

HypnoBirthing 5-Week Series with Rooted Birth
With the HypnoBirthing Mongan Method class series you can expect to learn in-depth techniques that will help you and your partner to mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually prepare for your birthing time.
This series offers you five classes for 5 consecutive weeks, with each class lasting a duration of 2.5 hours. Our Rooted Birth presented series will be hosted on Sunday evenings from 4 pm to 6:30 pm.
The HypnoBirthing Mongan Method series will cover the following topics each week:
Week One 8/6: Dehypnotizing and Building a Positive Expectancy
Week Two 8/13: Falling in Love with your Baby
Week Three 8/20: Advanced Visualization and Deepening
Week Four 8/27: Overview and Summary of Childbirth - Birthing your Baby
Week Five 9/3: Birthing - The Final Act of Bonding
The fee of $400 includes admission for you and a partner as well as the HypnoBirthing Mongan Method textbook, Digital Audio Track, and Booklet Handout.

Newborn Care & Breastfeeding with Rooted Birth
Now that you are prepared for your birth, let’s get you prepared for new parent life! Join Rooted Birth for a combination Newborn Care and Breastfeeding class at COREssentials on August 27, 2022 11am to 5pm. You will learn:
-immediate postpartum care of your newborn
-techniques to soothe your newborn
-healthy newborn reflexes and traits
-warning signs -diapering, swaddling, bathing, and dressing your newborn
-breastmilk composition and changes
-breast care
-latching technique and positions
-potential breastfeeding difficulties
